Greeting & Welcome to our review of Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 [2019] WiFi Only Edition review. This festive season everyone is looking for a large screen tablet, And let us show you how Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 stands against the competitors and how efficient it is after 2 months of usage :
Here is the spec rundown so you know we’re talking about the same thing :
One the processing terms, It has Octa-core, 1800 MHz, ARM Cortex-A73 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit, 14 nm running in Big.LiTTLe configuration. Its accompanied by 2 Gigs of RAM and Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. While these specs are average, we know one doesn’t buy a Large Screen Table for gaming.
On the entertainment front, It has a 10.1 inches, 1200 x 1920 pixels, 224 ppi IPS LCD covering 80.8% Of the front of tablet. On Sound, Its got average Dual stereo speakers, But they come with Dolby 3D Atmos surround sound, And that thing rules. It has a 6,150 mAh Battery, Enough to stream Netflix for more than 10 hours on a single charge. The tablet has a very thin profile, It also weight somewhat higher of 400Grams.
The Review :
In Hand, The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 doesn’t feel like a brick. After a long generation of plastic body tablets from Samsung, it feels nice to have metal body. The tablet has no Hardware Buttons on the front. On the right side you get Power, Volume and MicroSD card slot. It has an all-purpose USB-C on the bottom and a 3.5mm on the top.
Unfortunately, This tablet doesn’t feature a fingerprint scanner. That would have helped things greatly. Also both the stereo speakers on the same side does take away surround sound experience. Both Cameras are “just okay” for video calling. The 2GB RAM also puts a cap on heavy-duty multitasking, Such as 16 Tabs on chrome and Youtube premium running in background.
In General usage, The Tab A feels smooth and there are no lags. Games like PubG Mobile, Fortnite and GTA:SA runs wells with minimal drops. While multitasking, The tablet does get a bit slow but not to the point it feels like Windows XP.
The screen has some glare to it, And adding a tempered glass makes things worse, Specially in direct sunlight. The color reproduction itself is top notch and the touch is soft as a feather.
Aimed at Entertainment usage, Quad Speakers would have helped things a lot, but cost-cutting is a *****. Honestly, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is the Premium of “Budget Tablet” category. Honestly for INR 15,000, One looking for a device mainly for large screen usage, Such as netflix, Navigation and office usage can pick this tablet up without second thoughts.
You are a very smart person!
